The Rotary Club of Arbury 

COMMUNITY SERVICE and VOCATIONAL ACTIVITIES

The ideal of many Rotarians is probably a desire to put something back into the community that nurtures them.  In our case this takes a number of forms:- 

1. Pleasure trips for handicapped children.
    
2. An annual exhibition, held in conjunction with local schools, to raise the knowledge of health and safety in young children.
    
3. Aid to youth groups such as Air Cadets and Sea Cadets.
    
4. Work with the local hospital to spread public awareness of the symptoms of strokes, cancer, diabetes etc and to encourage organ donors.
    
5. Assistance to improve conditions for the elderly ie. donations to old folks clubs and the organisation of outings.
    
6. Vocational awards eg. Person of the Year and student bursaries.
