Rotarians back KEGS students
The Rotary Club of Arbury presented its annual Community
Award to Maria Blaney, who has just left King Edward VI College to study for
a degree in Community and Youth Studies at Leeds Metropolitan University.
Club President Mark Salmon presented Maria with a cheque
for £300 and she said she was thrilled to win the Award as it would help
enormously in purchasing text books for her degree course.
Another former student, Lucy Druce, who is studying
Politics and International Relations at Keele University and won the last
Rotary Club Centennial Bursary in 2006 also received a cheque for £200, the
second instalment of her bursary. |
